Life saving support to most needy flood victims of Bihar
Distributed Cloths and Blankets to 19 most needy flood victims at Saharsa district, Bihar, India. Saharsa falls on Kosi zone, and it is highly flood prone area in India. It creates severe problems in regular intervals in this area and women, children and old age persons are most vulnerable group in such condition. The organization staffs along with community stakeholders visited most vulnerable area in the district and where they identified most vulnerable persons , who are vulnerable and at risk due to severe coldness in this winter season and also suffered by deadly flood , there were no one to care them in the severe coldness .The Organization staffs also conducted village meeting ,and meet poorest of the poor needy persons i.e. single women, old age persons who were at risk and finalized beneficiaries in participatory process. The beneficiaries are also deadly suffered by severe floods in the Bihar. After flood they lost life saving means fooding clothing and shelter. In the severe coldness they don’t have any option and means to protect from coldness. The Blanket and Cloths support of 19 Most Needy Flood Victims by The GlobalGiving Foundation-USA provided an opportunity to save themselves from severe coldness and hence keep the health status in good condition. With out blanket support they might face of severe coldness and due to lack of proper shelter, their health might be degraded. It has also worked as rehabilitation of the flood victims. Now these beneficiaries are leading a happy and healthy life. In such circumstances they extended special gratitude to The GlobalGiving Foundation and Sugam Jagriti.
