EMPOWERING TEACHERS AS HEALTH EDUCATION CHAMPIONS

By Othieno Gerald | Project Leader

Teachers play a critical role in shaping knowledge and promoting healthy behaviors among young people. Thanks to your support, educators continue to serve as valuable partners in our Ebola preparedness efforts.

During this reporting period, teachers participated in health education activities designed to strengthen their understanding of disease prevention and community health promotion. Equipped with updated information, they have continued sharing important messages with students and families.

Schools have become important centers for promoting hygiene and public health awareness. Teachers are encouraging students to practice regular handwashing, maintain clean environments, and share prevention lessons at home.

The influence of educators extends far beyond the classroom. Their trusted positions within communities make them effective advocates for healthy behaviors and disease prevention.

Many schools have reported increased student engagement in health-related activities, reflecting the success of these efforts. The knowledge gained today will continue benefiting learners and their communities in the future.

Thank you for helping empower teachers as health education champions. Your support is strengthening the role of schools in promoting public health and building resilience. Together, we are preparing the next generation to become informed and responsible community leaders.
