Health facilities remain at the forefront of Ebola prevention and response. Thanks to your generous support, we have continued strengthening infection prevention and control measures in clinics and healthcare centers serving vulnerable populations.
Healthcare workers received refresher training on infection control protocols, patient screening procedures, and the safe use of personal protective equipment. These trainings are helping maintain high standards of preparedness and safety within health facilities.
Essential supplies, including disinfectants, gloves, masks, and hand hygiene materials, were distributed to support daily operations. Facility managers report that these resources have significantly improved their ability to maintain safe environments for patients and staff.
The project has also supported regular monitoring of infection prevention practices, ensuring that established guidelines are consistently followed. These efforts help reduce the risk of healthcare-associated transmission while increasing confidence among community members seeking medical care.
Strengthening health facilities is a critical component of outbreak preparedness. Well-equipped and well-trained healthcare workers are better positioned to detect potential cases early and respond effectively.
Your support continues to enhance the readiness of frontline healthcare providers across Uganda. Thank you for helping protect the dedicated professionals who work tirelessly to safeguard community health. Together, we are building stronger health systems capable of responding to present and future public health emergencies.
