Schools play a critical role in protecting children and communities during health emergencies. Thanks to your support, we have continued implementing infection prevention measures in schools located in vulnerable areas.
Teachers received educational materials and guidance on Ebola prevention, while students participated in awareness sessions focused on hygiene, symptom recognition, and safe health practices. Handwashing facilities were strengthened to support daily hygiene routines.
School administrators have embraced prevention efforts and are actively promoting safe environments for learners. Students are becoming important messengers of health information, sharing prevention lessons with their families and communities.
The program is helping reduce anxiety among parents while ensuring that children remain informed about protecting themselves and others. Improved hygiene practices established through the project are expected to provide long-term health benefits beyond the current Ebola threat.
By investing in schools, we are reaching large numbers of children and strengthening community preparedness at the grassroots level. Every trained student and teacher contributes to a wider network of informed individuals capable of supporting disease prevention efforts.
Thank you for helping create safer learning environments and protecting future generations. Your support continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families across Uganda.
