Baby Friendly Space Makes a Great Start!

JISP, in cooperation with a local NGO, International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation (IBC), is running a Baby Friendly Space in the temporary container housing site in the Elbistan district of Kahramanmaras, called "MUSIAD Container Camp", in order to support the mothers with babies aged 0-24 months and pregnant mothers.

Nowadays, we are conducting group sessions for moms and babies to provide psychosocial support, and activities for moms and babies to spend quality time together. In addition to this, we provide parenting counseling, psychosocial support to individuals and groups, awareness sessions, and social activities for beneficiaries. We would like to share some of our activities with you through the photos!

Given the seriousness of the damages done to the affected areas in Turkey by the recent earthquakes, we are certain that the road for recovery will be a long one. Based on feedback from our beneficiaries, our staff will continue to work to provide the support that is needed by meticulously identifying their transitioning needs. We will continue to deliver information on our activities and the voices of our beneficiaries, and we would be very happy if you would continue to support these activities!
