Emergency appeal flood affected children in Pak

Flash flooding caused by torrential monsoon rains has affected hundreds of thousands of people with further downpours expected in the coming days. Flood water from River Chenab devastated washed away many slum houses. Many houses have collapsed with the flowing water. Joy Foundation want to help the children specially girls and families affected with this flood.

The floods have damaged roads and vast areas within the affected areas remain under water posing access challenges. Joy Foundation conducted the needs assessment in flood affected areas of Athara Hazari Jhang. 5 mostly affected villages have been visited by Joy Foundation, The most basic and initial needs have been noted. The needs of the flood affected families in the areas which our team assessed are as below: - Food - Medical camps - Hygiene Kits


This emergency relief will help them for one month and in the meantime water will go down and people will able to return their houses and see how they can survive after that.

Long-Term Impact

This emergency relief will help the people at the time when they loss everything in the flood and they are not able to work and do anything so they need support. This support will help them to survive in hard time of thier life.
