On February 24, 2022, the situation in Ukraine escalated. Since then, there has been widespread war in the country. Our alliance provides humanitarian aid to children, women and men from Ukraine. 21 aid organizations have been in action since the first day of the war - in Ukraine and the countries of refuge.Our alliance helps people from Ukraine: in the country itself, at all points of refuge and in the countries where they are seeking protection. A devastating war has been raging in Ukraine since February 2022, triggering a humanitarian crisis. The number of people in need of assistance has almost quadrupled; according to the UN, over 14.6 million people will need assistance in 2024. Over 10 million people have fled, many within Ukraine or to other European countries. Infrastructure is severely damaged, including homes, schools and health facilities. The supply of electricity, water and food is severely affected.
Within this project we provide families with hot meals, drinking water and other relief supplies. We also enable relief supplies with medicines and medical equipment for injured people and we provide psychosocial support for children and adults. Furthermore, we create safe places for children so that they can forget the horrors of war and flight for a while. Moreover, we support people seeking protection and supplies - in Ukraine and neighboring countries.
