This project will help 35 young young people who had to leave the institutional shelter when they recently turned 18 years old. They don't have strong family ties or any government support. Due to the strong coronavirus sanitary, social and economic crisis in Brazil, they lost their jobs and need help to cope with this very difficult time. Your donation will provide food and internet access (to help them search for jobs and free professional training courses) for 12 months.
When a sheltered child turns 18, she or he needs to leave shelters to live on their own, without strong family ties or any kind of government help. Due to the pandemic, 35 young people who take part in our program are in an even more difficult scenario. Some of them lost their jobs, lost their homes due to non-payment of rent and can't find any job opportunities due to circulation and economic activities restriction
The project makes it possible for young adults disconnected from foster care institutions and living in vulnerable areas to be able to sustain their life while this pandemic situation prevents the return of economic activities, meeting basic needs and with the possibility of finding a job.
The project helps these young adults to survive and then, sustain their life projects, with the possibility of finding a place in the labor market, dignified housing and participating actively and critically in the society in which they live
