So much done in the last few months to support the safety of women and girls, and we can only thank you for making this possible!
Through working with 10 schools in Siem Reap on the “Safer City for Girls” project, we recruited 100 youth ambassadors to share their voices around creating a safer place for girls, which is free from harassment and bullying in the public space. Girls and boys have increased confidence to share the topics with others through social media.
Through our different initiatives, people have been educated on women's rights, gender roles, domestic violence and reproductive rights.
Hundreds of people have received counselling on physical and mental health, as well as referrals for social services to support those who have been victimised.
And most importantly!
320 people joined our in-person advocacy campaign in November 2022 to End Violence Against Women and Girls through cycling, tuk-tuk parades, friendship football matches and a variety of workshops on: The Importance of Fathers' Involvement in Child Raising, Types of Abuse on Girls and Masculinity.
39 people joined our on-line event for Dialogue and Q&A on Interventions and Legal Procedures to Assist Women Victims of Gender-Based Violence and the launching of the campaign to End Violence Against Women and Girls. 17,387 people were reached and 2441 engaged 14 post on our Facebook live throughout 16 days of campaign.
We are making equality mainstream!
