From July to September 2022, our project team delivered 12 awareness workshops to 335 students /189 females from 2 high schools (Hun Sen Siem and Samdach Ouv) and 2 secondary schools (Hun Sen Krous, and Wat Chork).
Our Awareness Raising workshops focused on three main topics
1) Sex and gender
2) Gender roles, gender equity and gender equality
3) Sexual harassment and domestic violence
As a result of responding to our set objectives, we got remarkable increasing knowledge.
Through pre and post-test observation and reflection on changes in perception of participants:
Participants increased their knowledge on gender and sex by 41% (pre- test at 33% and post-test at 74%)
Participants increased their knowledge of gender role stereotypes divided by social mindset and its impact, factors that lead to inequality in society and differences of gender equity and equality. They increased their knowledge by 58% (pre-test at 31% and post-test at 89%)
Participants learned and increased knowledge on all forms of abuse and ways to report harassment by 45% (pre-test at 27% at post-test at 72%)
