Help provide a future for thousands of Afghan women who will learn to read, learn English, and receive professional level computer training.
Women have long been denied access to educational opportunities in Afghanistan, and we are dramatically changing the mindset of Afghans by directly encouraging women to become leaders themselves. 85% of the Afghan population lives in rural areas, and 87% or women cannot read or write. In these rural areas of Afghanistan Morning Star Development operates educational programs which provide literacy, English, and computer training for women and girls.
Uneducated women have very few opportunities for employment in Afghanistan. Becoming literate, learning English, and learning to use a computer dramatically increases their opportunities and triples their earning potential.
We will provide literacy, English, and computer training to over 3,000 women and girls, greatly enhancing their ability to help provide for their families.
