This project will provide mobile health check-ups and essential medical support to 200 older people, especially those who are bedridden, poor, isolated, and disabled in rural communities of Malawi, improving their access to care and quality life.
In rural Malawi, many elderly and disabled people live far from health facilities and cannot afford transport and medication. most go years without check-ups, suffering silently from preventable illnesses like high blood pressure, diabetes, arthritis, and malaria. with limited support and no social health programs, their health and dignity decline rapidly.
Elderly Mobile Health Check-ups Project brings health check-ups directly to elderly and disabled people in rural Malawi. Our professional health workers team, and community volunteers screens for illnesses, provides medicine refills, makes referrals, train caregivers, and offers health education, ensuring elderly people receive timely care and support.
The project will serve over 100 elderly individuals who suffer from preventable illnesses due to limited access to health care. The project will enable elderly individuals to maintain their independence, dignity, and mobility, enhancing their overall quality of life. Early detection and management of health issues will reduce the financial burden on individuals, families, and the healthcare system.
