This program was carried out by the girls attending the activities at Elara Study Centre. They identified these 3 topics as common issues among teenagers which cause negative changes in behavior, insecurities, and mental health deterioration. As their own way of taking active responsibility in the society, they set out to make their contribution towards changing this narrative.
The program was in 3 phases, which included: spreading awareness using social media, a webinar where a professional spoke on problems teenagers experience and practical ways of dealing with them. Lastly, a physical session in their school where they shared what they had learnt at the morning assembly reaching about 700 students and charging them to be committed in supporting and inspiring other girls to make positive choices.
This project gave them the opportunity to practice the teamwork and leadership skills they had learnt from the STARS (Student Taking Active Responsibility in the Society) program.
