In June 2025, IDEP carried out the Eid Gift Parcel for Single Mother Families initiative to support 37 single mothers in Bali in celebrating Eid al-Adha with dignity and joy. Each parcel was thoughtfully prepared to include not only essential household items and hygiene supplies, but also children’s school necessities such as notebooks, pens, and other learning materials. This support aimed to reduce the financial pressure often felt during religious holidays, while also helping children stay prepared for the academic year ahead.
The project offered more than material support—it delivered a message of solidarity and care to women who often carry the weight of both parenting and providing alone. By recognizing their dual roles and easing the burden during a significant celebration, the program helped restore a sense of inclusion, empowerment, and hope. The beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude, sharing that the support made them feel seen and valued during a time that is both meaningful and challenging.
