Our area of operation (Kasese District) is at the border of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. our offices are just 6 miles from the democratic republic of congo. Congo currently has severe Ebola virus breakout. The virus is crossing to uganda on a very high rate, so far 9 cases registered Twase women development trust would like to sensitize the local population about Ebola, provide handwashing facilities , other utilities like soap, sanitizers to our community people , schools
The democratic Republic of Congo is experiencing severe Ebola out break which is spreading to Uganda on a very high rate. Kasese District is at the border of Uganda and the democratic Republic of Congo. The people in our area of operation trade , and carryout activities in the democratic republic of congo. This puts the lives of people in Kasese at a very high risk. in just a week, nine cases of Ebola virus have been reported in our area. . Deaths also reported
By putting people on alert, provision of hand washing facilities , people sensitized about the standard operating procedures will help reduce the spread, transmission rate. coordination with the health workers, quick transportation of the suspects to approved health facilities will help reduce further spread of the Virus.
People will be aware of the standard operating procedures, and thus know who to guard themselves against the Ebola virus , and other viruses that may breakout in the future.
