This project which have a 10-month duration will address the urgent issue of child hunger which hinders both health and education for underprivileged children. Our initiative aims to provide daily meals to schoolchildren to ensure they have the nutrition needed to succeed academically and grow into healthy adults. Through collaboration with local schools, communities, and donors we seeks to provide meals for two thousand students in 14 schools from 10 slum and rural communities in Liberia.
The hunger crisis is particularly alarming for school-aged children, as it not only harms their health but also disrupts their education. Many children in Liberia go to bed hungry and attend school without proper meals, severely impairing their physical and cognitive development. As a result, they struggle to concentrate, have lower attendance rates, and are at a higher risk of dropping out, making it difficult for them to learn effectively.
This 10-month project will tackle child hunger by providing daily nutritious meals to underprivileged schoolchildren, ensuring they have the nourishment needed to thrive both academically and physically. By partnering with local schools, communities, and donors, the initiative will deliver meals to 2,000 students in ten schools across slum and rural communities in Liberia, helping them succeed in school and promoting healthier development.
Providing consistent nutritional meals to schoolchildren in Liberia will have profound and lasting effects on the community. In the short term, it will improve students' concentration, attendance, and overall academic performance. Over time, these children will be healthier, more educated, and better equipped to break the cycle of poverty. Improved nutrition will foster cognitive development, leading to better learning outcomes and higher graduation rates. With increased access to education.
