Sometimes a simple lack of writing pads, school bags and slippers will prevent a child from going to school. This Project provides needed educational supplies to students who are victims of the floods. This will enable them to go to school with ease and with dignity. The children will be in a position to have a good start in their career.
The flood damaged the books and education materials along with household goods. Each and every disaster severely affects children. Going school without the books and other education materials is unbearable to the students. Being flood victims, the parents are unable to provide books and resources to their children. Children out of the school are at the risk of being affected by drug abuse and crime. Education is a fundamental factor to shape the future of these children.
Providing the children affected by the flood with basic support such as school supplies, uniform, shoes which will enable them to go to school with ease and dignity. This will keep them busy in school and get an education to better their lives.
Children having the needed education materials will continue their studies and stay in school. This will support a reduction in dropout rate and risk of conflict, decreasing psychological distress which ultimately stop children from being involved in drugs and crime . This will restore hope to the community.
