Dear Friends,
We are delighted to inform you that IDEA's education sponsorship project is running efficiently with your generous help. Last academic year we supported 293 children from underprivileged community to access quality education. All children under our sponsorship program is doing extremely well in academics and other extra-curricular activities. They are really making good use of the opportunity they got to free themselves from extreme poverty they are facing.
IDEA conducts various activities in schools and communities under this project to prepare children to face the outer world with confidence and to achieve their goals in life. These activities included career guidance workshops by experts from different fields, spoken English classes, computer literacy classes, mathematics classes for 10th standard children and various exposure visits. Our children under sponsorship project are always eager to attend these programs. Thank you very much all of you for your financial support and understanding.
HIGHLIGHTS:
The children who appeared for the board exam this year would like to express their gratitude to all donors who have helped them to pursue their dreams. The children really made us proud too. The results are as follows:
12th standard - Total 29 children appeared and 26 passed with good marks. 4 children scored more than 70 %, 8 children scored between 60% to 70 %. Preethi who scored 88.6% marks is the topper among them.
10th standard - Total 26 children appeared for the final examination and 24 passed. 3 children scored more than 70 %, 8 children scored between 60% to 70%. Harshada scored 76% and Ashiwini Scored 74.6%.
Two girl students are good kabbadi players. Ms. Pratiksha who is 11th standard played in District level competition and Ms. Swati who played state level matches. Both are working really hard to be in National level matches. Our sponsorship support is always a great help to motivate such students.
An Appeal
We are extremely thankful to each one of you for supporting us. We are getting a lot of application from poor parents for sponsorship. As far as possible we try to accept every application but sometimes it is difficult to cope up with the increasing demand. We want to support many more children as we feel education is the right of every child and lack of money should not be a barrier for them to achieve knowledge. Please continue to support us and write to us if you have any suggestion for improving our project.
