Greetings from IDEA!!
Rainy season is over and the greatest Indian festival Diwali is just one week ahead. Children are busy preparing for the exams and planning for fun filled activities during the vacation.
43 girls and boys received educational aid in past 3 months under IDEA’s sponsorship program. Educational aid included school or coaching class fee and school material like school dress, notebooks etc.
Life skill sessions are a continuous process. This time children insisted on a session on how to study. Therefore an expert was called to conduct a session on ‘How to Study’. Discussion was held on what is meant by study, why we do it and for what and for whom and problems during studies.
Sessions on communication skills, right to education were also conducted for the sponsored children. On Independence Day, 4 of IDEA’s sponsored children volunteered to teach clay modeling in another slum community. After singing the national anthem they taught clay peacock, banana and snake.
Riya and Jiya (name changed) are under our sponsorship program from past 6 years. This year they completed Diploma in Computer Engineering with 90% and 91% respectively. Both of them have recently joined 1st year engineering in Computer Engineering in topmost colleges in Pune. IDEA is wishing them all the best on behalf of donors, staff and well wishers. Their fees will be reimbursed partially by IDEA. We also request you to support for their educational expenses which are in lacs.
Thank you donors! You really contribute a lot for building someone’s future.
