English language courses
Online format gives new opportunities for studying English. Thanks to the lockdown we have expanded our geographic coverage of English course among nurses and doctors.
Soft skills trainings for doctors and nurses
Training: ”How to persuade the patients” 12th of April 2020
In 2020 we successfully continue our local soft skills trainings for doctors within course “Modern doctor”. Due to the lockdown a lot of new doctors now easily join us from regions.Now we have group of 22 doctors from all over Ukraine.Positive feedback from participants motivate us to keep online format in our Educational program for future as well.
Leadership School for Nurses
Training: ”Personal effectiveness of the leader. Leadership” 23rd of May 2020
In second quarter we have launched new project for pediatric oncology nurses - Leadership School. This course is also dedicated to soft skills development mainly leadership in order to help senior nurses manage their teams and develop soft skills which are crucial for their development. High engagement level and interactivity of participants during the education confirms that participants come for knowledge and development.We plan to provide 5 educational sessions this year with control test and presentation at the end.
Training: “Ethics and bioethics in palliative care. What is the truth? How to communicate bad news to the patient? ”. 30th of May 2020
The topic of communication of bad news is extremely relevant for medicine in general and pediatric oncology in particular.Unfortunately, the current status of palliative care in Ukraine still requires lots of development and improvement. We decided to provide a few online trainings on this topic this year with incredibly charismatic director of the Belarusian hospice. She shared her experience with the doctors of the multidisciplinary team of the national pediatric hospital.
Training for doctors “Legal knowledge for doctors” 20th of June 2020
During daily work routine doctors face with a lot of legal nuances and pitfalls. So it’s very important for them to know and understand their rights and duties at least in the most common cases.20 doctors from different regions of Ukraine learned potentially dangerous legal situations, strategies for the doctor’s behavior in various situations: police visit, subpoena, etc.
Online training for doctors ”Leadership and effective team communication”. 30th of June 2020
Online training for Volyn Children's Regional Hospital: our first and very successful training experience for the management team within 1 hospital. 22 doctors from their hospital participated in our training. The feedbacks show that the doctors are really interested and they are ready to continue. Our main goal is to increase the effectiveness of communication within their teams and to convey the benefits of innovations implementation of medical services in pediatric oncology department.
