Firstly, we hope that everyone is healthy and safe in their respective communities during this difficult time.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we took the measure of closing the El Centro education centre in April. As you can imagine, in a community already suffering from a severe shortage of economic and educational opportunities, this situation is extremely tough. In response, we are using raised funds and current support to ensure an income for the teachers. We have also partnered with Virtual Social Entrepreneur Corps to develop a strategy for remotely working with children and facilitate educational opportunities in their homes. We hope to be able to share some success stories in the near future. Thank you for all of your support!
