Life skills for women
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support providing fund so indigent children will be able to go to school. This project is very important in order to give opportunities to young children who otherwise will have no education and will have less chances in life. This reporting period we focused our support to young mothers in order for them to learn new skills and get additional incomes they can use to support their children later when they start schooling. The life skills consist of gardening, sewing, cooking, raising of small animals like rabbits, pigs and chickens and food processing using the products around their homes. The women are gouped into 8-10 and the training done in their village centers. We are able to train a total of 75 women this reporting period and they are very happy about this.
Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora

Livelihood initiative
Dear Friend,
Warmest greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing educational fund to indigent children. The project is very important in improving the lives of children via education as this is often their only ticket to an improved life compared to their situation now. Education now in the Philippines is easily accessible the only problem is if one is very poor and living in remote barrios where going to school is a challenge. Our initiative this reporting period is to provide the families with livelihood activities that they can undertake and use the income to pay for expenses of their children as well as to improve their nutrition and health. In this way, the approach is sustainable and dignified compared to giving them outright dole-out. We were able to support 45 families with vegetable gardening inputs like seeds, fertilizer, farm tools in this manner.
Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora

Distribution of school kits
Dear Friend,
Greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project funding the education needs of indigent children. This project is indeed very important because it provides children from poor families with a chance to better their lives through good education. Sometimes they cannot go to school simply because they don't have school supplies or a pair of shoes. Some of the children walklong distances in order to attend school and withour a pair of shoes is very difficult for them. This reporting period, we are very happy to inform you that we were able to access support from a local sponsor that provides school kits comprising school bags, school supplies, a pair of shoes and toys for 75 children. During the distribution of the kits, the recipients were very happy and thankful to us and they said that without the support they would be hard-up to send their children to school.
Again thank you very much for your generosity.
Looking forward to additional support from you.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre
