HyderabadCouncilofHumanWelfare(HCHW)isanon-profitorganization working at Hyderabad for more than 3 decades strivingfor the protection of child rights and educational empowerment ofpoor&neglectedChildren.Ithasreachedmorethan131472childrenliving on streets and in other difficult circumstances as on 31 March2024.HCHWiscurrentlyfocuseduponeducation,health&livelihoods through skill Building and operates several projects toaddress the above issues. One such initiative is a full-fledged Schoollocated at Mehdipatnam, Hyderabad offering free education to 400plus poor&neglected children.
HCHWenvisagesofmakingtheworldabetterplaceforchildrenandis thus striving for the promotion and protection of child rights andtrying to ensure safe and joyous childhood for every child. Whileworking with these children we realize that they lack opportunitiestoenjoytheirchildhood.Thoughchildrenbyagetheylivethelifeofprematureadulthood.Weconsiderdeprivingchildrenoftheirchildhood is the worst form of violations of child rights. As such weorganize every year Bachpan Utsav from November 14th to 20thcoincidingwiththeNationalChildren'sDayandInternationalDayforChildRights.
Bachpan Utsav (popularly known as Children's Carnival) serves as a platform for 430 plus children to see, enjoy, experience and regain their lost childhood. Nutritious food, refreshments, wholesome entertainment, joy rides, health check-up camps, educational and awareness programs, sports and games, cultural activities and other competitions are planned over a week to nullify the impact of day- to-day hardships, difficulties among children and reinforce among them a desire for better living aspiring for growth, development and prosperity
