Educational digital skills for children at risk

Thank you for believing in our project “Educational Digital Skills for Children at Risk” and making this significant change possible. Your generosity and trust continue to transform the lives of our boys and teenagers from "Casa PACO (PACO Home)".

This project prepares them comprehensively for the digital society of today and the future.

During this final quarter of 2026, we worked with 35 participants staying at Casa PACO. Thanks to their computer skills, they finished the school year with a notable improvement in their grades, as these abilities are highly useful for completing school assignments.

In May, they completed a basic programming tutoring program led by specialized volunteers, achieving excellent results for their age group. During the summer break, they have access to entertainment—always under supervision—as we aim to foster their curiosity and enjoyment in a responsible manner. We also take this time to update and maintain the technical equipment.

• They have 1 to 3 hours of computer use daily for homework, research, and recreational activities.
• 80% of participants know keyboard shortcuts for general computer use.
• 100% of participants have made progress in using search tolos and software.
• 85% use programs from the Windows suite.
• 30% use CANVA and other online applications to enhance their schoolwork.
• Participants use other digital equipment such as printers and scanners to complete their schoolwork.
• They have supervision and technical assistance at all times in front of a monitor.

At CasaPACO, we restore and guarantee the rights of boys and teenagers to foster social change.

Mastering digital tools empowers our boys and teenagers. They complete digital tasks and challenges on a daily basis, and if they need to use the computer for longer periods, they have the flexibility and support to do so.

Gracias por creer en nuestro proyecto “Educational Digital Skills for Children at Risk (Habilidades digitales educativas para niños en riesgo)” y hacer posible este cambio tan significativo en la vida de nuestros niños y adolescentes de "Casa PACO".

Este proyecto les prepara de manera integral para la sociedad digital actual y futura.

Durante este último trimestre de 2026, trabajamos con 35 participantes que se encuentran en Casa PACO. Gracias a su conocimiento en computación, cerraron el ciclo escolar con un notable incremento en calificaciones ya que sus habilidades son muy útiles para realizar tareas escolares.

En mayo terminaron la tutoría de programación básica a cargo de un voluntariado especializado, con excelentes resultados de acuerdo a su edad. Durante estas vacaciones de verano acceden a entretenimiento, siempre con supervisión, porque debemos motivar su curiosidad y diversión responsablemente. En este periodo aprovechamos para actualizar y dar mantenimiento a los equipos técnicos.

• Diariamente cuentan con 1 a 3 horas de uso de computadora para realizar tareas, investigaciones y actividad lúdica.
• 80% de los participantes conocen atajos con el teclado para uso general del equipo de cómputo.
• 100% de los participantes han avanzado en el uso de herramientas de búsqueda y software.
• 85% utilizan programas de la paquetería Windows.
• 30% utiliza CANVA y otras aplicaciones online para enriquecer sus trabajos escolares.
• Los participantes utilizan otros equipos digitales como impresora y escáner para completar trabajos escolares.
• Cuentan con supervisión y asistencia técnica en todo momento frente a un monitor.

En Casa PACO restituimos y garantizamos los derechos de niños y adolescentes para generar cambios sociales.

Dominar las herramientas digitales empodera a nuestros niños y adolescentes. Completan tareas y desafíos digitales a diario, y si es necesario ocupar el equipo más tiempo, cuentan con la flexibilidad y ayuda para realizarlas.
