Project Report | Dec 11, 2024
Women's leadership and empowerment

By Enas Najah | Board Member

Bothoor Alkhaer Organization puts a lot of effort into developing rights-based programs that will positively impact women’s lives. Bothoor Alkhaer aspires to a society where women are free from social and economic restrictions, feel liberated and free to express themselves, and can grow as individuals. In Diyala region, Bothoor Alkhaer Organization implemented sewing and embroidery programs for women. 30 women and girls from Diyala expressed their interest and were accepted into the sewing center. The 30 students who completed a year-long course in cutting, sewing and embroidery say that it was very beneficial.

They believe that they are valuable as unique women and that they help support their families financially. In addition, they save a large amount of money for their families, especially during the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Fitr, when clothes are given as gifts. The women were incredibly happy and grateful to Bothoor Alkhaer Organization for providing them with the opportunity to study and contribute significantly to their families.
