Project Report | Jun 13, 2024
THE TURBULENT YEAR 2024

By Eddy Morris Ogweng | Project leader

Dear Donors and Supporters,

It is with very profound pleasure that I write to you this news letter. The year 2024 begun in a gentle tone and it slowly progressing now midway but this has been a rough road to get to this point.

All the early childhood centers under our care has seen exponential increase in numbers with majority getting a rise by over 100 children.

In One particular center called Yaweh Yiireh Nursery and Primary School, the number of children Rose from 150 to 350 children; whereas this increase is a positive development raising from the dedicated advocacy by our project team to encourage parents and guardians to support children to access quality early childhood Care, this Sharp increase has ended up being a burden to the center due constraint in learning spaces, sitting facilities and toilets. Coupled with the above, the increase in numbers also demand higher budget for other scholastic materials like writing chalks, uniforms, lesson plan books and other related scholastics.

The above challenge is compounded by the fact that majority of parents and guardians are of high peasantry background and the low prices of Agricultural products only worsen the situation and the incomes of the parents are narrowed further.

The immediate need at One of our main center is classroom spaces which is that require over $14,000 and given the the nature of the parents and guardians at our centers, this is a tall order not only for the center but also for the organization.

Dear donors and supporters,we sincerely appreciate your continued support that has kept us going stronger but more work now need to be done and this requires more of your involvement to enable us stay afloat. Just this week, our main center has received several recommendations to upgrade and increase toilet stances to match the current numbers at the center, whereas the center has worked hard to begin the process but the remaining portion require materials worth over $2000 and with the center having many girls, the need for them to have good sanitary environment can't be overstated.

We will forever remain grateful to you and I request that besides standing with us, please keep your network of friends and family aware of the great need our children continue to remain in.

Wishing you all a blessed middle of the year and hoping for your continued collaboration.

Best regards!

Eddy Morris
