Dear Esteemed supportors,
It is with profound gratitutde that i write to you this report.
The second term in the academic calender in uganda has come to an end. This particular term has been particularily challenging because most parts of the country experienced extreeme weather challenges ocasioned by drought, the drought meant that communities had limited capacity to cultivate crops and those who were able to plant had most of the crops dried due to sunshine that was so prolonged, conserquently famillies of most children have been at the height of hunger and famine due to lack of food, many famillies had to go on one meal a day to cope up with the food scarsity.
Coupled with the famine, the economy has been very challenging with high fuel cost which led to rise in all major commoditity prices and this has led to many famillies living on basic survival means.
Against the above background, children who are the bed rock of our programming faced similar challenges as their famillies could not ably meedt ther daily needs including scholastic needs like uniforms, pens, books among others.
We want to sincerely thank you all for your continued support that has ensured that we can continue to support the children in whatever ways possible as a means of ensuring the securityof their future;an eductaed child is the future of our Nation and we can not be more grateful for a partnership with people like you who have continued to ensure that we keep chuildren in school.
As a result of your support, the term two has been successfully drwn to a close with children being able to spend some more time at home with their famillies.
Our friends and supporters,we want to continue to encourage you that much as we have been able to move, the challenges ahead are still many and we seek for more of your support and partnership so that we can be able to move forward and support more children.
Wishing you all a blessed new month and hoping that you are continuing to stay safe.
Best regards
