Covid 19 And Education

Dear our Esteemed Donors and supporters,

I hope this finds you well. It's been quite a while since we interacted.

The impact of Covid 19 has had far reaching impact on the lives of school going children and I can confirm that the unprecedented negative impact on families in poor rural setting is one of devastation which may not go away even with the easening of lockdown in some cases .

Many children under Our Care have borne the brunt of this pandemic and it will take years for these impact to be erased. It's unfortunate that in a number of instances even children in poor rural setup are being expected to develop coping mechanism similar to those children in middle income economies and the first world.

This pandemic will give progres in achieving major milestones in education standards a stabb in the back especially for countries and regions like ours.

I wish to reiterate that Education in the midst of this psndepan will require fresh thinking along best methodologies to tackle emnerging issues like online education which sounds like movie script to many communities in North Uganda where we operate. Achieving this will require that Donors put on New lenses that guarantee them opportunity to see beyond normal Peace meal support.

Please, I would wish to note that the needs in education are fast changing and Donors in this sector need to rethink strategy and approaches with the most outcome and that offers sustainability from the common man's perspective

I also believe that through continued engagement we can make this country a better place.

As The Odwar Fund, I wish to request for your ommitment to the cause and kindly speak to someone who knows somebody who is not much confident and May they cone in and set up a vibrant donor network and pull hundreds of girls and boys out of despair.

You may have already given so much before to yjit project but I want to assure you that giving now sets the stage for revival of education in Our community.

Best regards
