SDA Field Officer Moses lead the discussion on GAC

In January after schools were opened Sports Development Aid continued with Health Education, Life Skills, and Sports sessions in the targeted schools. For example, in February we visited Naliendele Girls Action Club and the girls choose to discuss risky behavior topic from Health Education, Life Skills, and Sports booklet. During the discussion, SDA Field Officer gave room for the girls to know risky behavior that can affect their school performance and dreams, also the ways to avoid them.

“Today we have discussed risky behaviors, which leads to early marriage and early pregnancies. This discussion alert us young girls and students not to engage in such behaviors as they will affect our studies and our future as well”-Naliendele Girls Action Club member

Sports as an influential tool for learning used by SDA was part of the learning whereby we joined for a traditional game called “Simba ni mkali” meaning “angry lion”. Students participated actively and enjoyed the game as they improved physical fitness, wellness and activate the brain.

The girls are grateful to GlobalGiving and to all the donors for all of the support you have been giving them, they wish you nothing but good health and the best of luck in life. Thank you
