The project aims at providing education for 100 children(40 boys-60 girls) who hail from the needy sections of society namely orphans and single parented as a result of HIV/AIDS and the moslem polygamous nature that dominates Nakaloke where children are large in number compared to the poor income available to the parents. The project will provide remedy by providing school fees, scholastic materials, transport and meals to children.
The aftermath of the HIV/AIDS disease coupled by Nakaloke towns highest population of Moslems and the uneducated, has led to many children being orphaned by the AIDS scourge along with the polygamous nature of the community which leaves many children ignored most especially girls who sre faced with the risk of getting married off at a tender age for dowry to provide for the families. The project therefore has given the girls a bigger platform.
We are working hand in hand with the local community and other child organisations such as the child probation office, Nakaloke Police, to reach out to the most vulnerable children whom we shall help with providing for there education by providing school fees, transport, nutritious meals and scholastic materials to ensure they fully concentrate and get the best out of education.
The project will not only benefit 100 children to access education but will also restore hope in the community and help 60 young girls from forced early marriages as a result of staying in school.
