2. Introduction

This report details the implementation of the "Urgent Educational Services for IDP Children" project. The primary goal is to ensure educational continuity for 120 displaced children, enabling them to successfully complete and pass their final exams for the 2025/2026 academic year. The report covers activities from late February through May 2026.

3. Strategic Objectives

  • Access to Education: Providing safe learning environments for children in displacement camps and affected areas.
  • Academic Continuity: Ensuring students complete the curriculum and register for national exams.
  • Psychosocial Support (PSS): Addressing the psychological barriers to learning caused by displacement and conflict.
  • Retention: Reducing dropout rates through the provision of essential school supplies and nutritional support.

4. Key Achievements (Feb – May 2026)

  • Psychosocial Interventions: Conducted 6 specialized PSS sessions to help students reintegrate into the learning environment.
  • Curriculum Coverage: Achieved 75% completion of the academic syllabus by the end of April, with intensive catch-up classes ongoing.
  • Nutritional Support: Provided daily light snacks to all students to encourage regular attendance and improve concentration.

5. Performance Indicators (KPIs)

6. Challenges & Mitigation Measures

  • Textbook Shortages: Due to a lack of official textbooks for the second semester, SORD provided temporary photocopied versions to ensure students could study.
  • Limited Learning Space: To manage overcrowding in temporary classrooms, a double-shift system (morning and afternoon) was implemented.

7. Upcoming Milestones (May – August 2026)

  • Finalizing the remaining curriculum and conducting comprehensive reviews before exams.
  • Supervising and supporting students during the final examination period of the 2025/2026 academic year.
  • Conducting a final impact assessment of student academic performance.
