IoT Feeding & Got Matar Secondary Bursary Programme
Quarterly Donor Report
The Got Matar Community Development Group (GMCDG) is grateful to our donors and partners for their continued commitment to supporting education and child welfare within our community. Your generosity has enabled us to sustain assistance to vulnerable learners despite the financial challenges affecting the programmes.
Institute of Technology Feeding Programme
During the quarter, the feeding programme at the Got Matar Institute of Technology (IoT) and the day nursery continued to provide learners with a daily lunch. Maintaining this support has remained important in ensuring that children and trainees are able to remain in school and participate in their studies with greater comfort and concentration.
Although the programme continues on a limited-resource basis, we continue to observe its positive contribution to learners' school attendance, participation and general well-being. For many of the children and young people served, the meal provided at school remains an important part of their daily welfare.
Got Matar Secondary Bursary Programme
The financial situation affecting the secondary bursary programme has remained challenging during the quarter. As a result, GMCDG has not yet been able to restore the level of assistance previously provided to the ten (10) bright but financially disadvantaged secondary school students identified for support.
The need among these learners remains significant. Their families continue to face financial difficulties that can interfere with their ability to meet school-related expenses. Without adequate assistance, vulnerable students may be forced to miss classes or face interruptions to their education.
We therefore continue to keep these learners within our priority areas for support and remain committed to mobilising additional resources to strengthen the bursary programme as funding becomes available.
Looking Ahead
For the coming period, our immediate priority remains the continuity of the IoT and nursery feeding programme, while working towards securing sufficient resources to resume meaningful bursary assistance for needy secondary school students.
We recognise that the sustainability of these initiatives depends greatly on the commitment of our donors and partners. Every contribution, regardless of size, helps us maintain essential support for children and young people who would otherwise have limited educational opportunities.
On behalf of Got Matar Community Development Group, we sincerely thank you for continuing to stand with our community. Your partnership enables us to sustain these programmes and gives vulnerable learners the opportunity to remain in education and look forward to a better future.
