GOT MATAR SECONDARY BURSARY & IoT FEEDING PROGRAM

By Nicholas Arwa | Project Leader

On behalf of the Got Matar Community Development Group, we sincerely appreciate your continued generosity and support towards our educational and child welfare programmes. Your contribution has made a significant difference in the lives of many children within our community.

Through your donations, we have continued to provide free lunch to learners at the Got Matar Institute of Technology (IoT) and the day nursery section. This feeding programme has greatly improved the learners’ concentration, health, and overall well-being while in school. It has also played a key role in reducing absenteeism and preventing school dropouts among vulnerable children.

We are pleased to report that both boys and girls benefiting from the programme have shown noticeable improvement in academic performance and school participation compared to the period before the programme was introduced.

However, despite these achievements, we have faced financial challenges since the beginning of this year. Due to inadequate funding, we have not been able to fully support ten (10) bright but needy students in the secondary school section through our bursary programme as we had done previously.

These students remain highly vulnerable and are at risk of missing educational opportunities because of financial constraints. We remain hopeful and committed to seeking support that will enable us to continue assisting these deserving learners in the future.

We once again extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our donors and partners for standing with us in empowering communities through education and care. Your support continues to bring hope and transform lives.

“Empowering Communities Together.”
