Quarter Report GlobalGiving
Foundation 22STARS : report May 2025 - June 2025 – July 2025And August 2025
1. BUDGET
We have only received two donations through GlobalGiving, from our UK Sponsor Dylan for the children he is sponsoring at our Foundation. We have not raised any other money through GlobalGiving. This is probably because most of our sponsors are European. And with the exchange rates, euro donations get exchanged into USD and then back to Euro when send to us, a lot of money gets lost. Hence why we also urge European sponsors who like to donate in euros to rather do it directly over our website to us. That said we welcome more USA and UK sponsors to donate as they can also deduct it from their taxes it is a win win for both.
2. HOW WE SPEND THE MONEY
We have spent the money received by Dylan on the schoolfees of 2025 for the children he supports. We have not received any other donation hence could not spend anything

Our mission is to empower families in Uganda to rise above poverty. We use an integrated approach and focus on the development of economic, social, natural, human, and cultural capital. 22STARS collaborates with communities in Acholi Quarter in the capital Kampala and Danida in the city of Jinja, who live in extreme poverty after having fled conflict zones in Northern Uganda and neighbouring countries.
4. ABOUT THE EDUCATION SYSTEM
In Uganda the education of a child starts with Nursery School (3 years), then Primary School (7 years) and then Secondary School (minimum 4 years) followed by a two-year Course. If a child has a high performance, then the child can also complete class 5 and 6 and join University. In quite a lot of cases children have a challenging home situation, we send then a primary school child to Boarding section.
