Quarter Report GlobalGiving Foundation 22STARS :

22STARS Quarterly Update

GlobalGiving  |  July to September 2026  |  Report date 14 October 2026

Over the past months, we have been working to make it easier to see what long-term support makes possible for children and families in Uganda. Alongside our education and community programmes in Kampala and Jinja, we have been rebuilding our website, bringing together clearer impact figures and developing a sponsor portal. We received no new donations through GlobalGiving during this reporting quarter.

A clearer view of our work

Our updated website brings education, locally led community programmes and ways to get involved into a clearer structure. We have also added more impact numbers and financial information, so supporters can explore how the programme has grown and where funding goes. The new Impact in Numbers page connects ten years of work with the children and communities behind the figures.

More stories and insights from Uganda

In May 2026, a photographer and videographer visited Uganda to document our work. We have since been working on sharing more photographs, video and insights from the communities, including our 2026 impact documentary, now featured on our website. These materials help supporters get to know the people, local leadership and everyday work behind our programmes.

Developing our sponsor portal

We are also developing a sponsor portal to make it easier for sponsors to follow the education of the child they support. This includes organising sponsorship records, school reports, letters and gift information. The portal is still in development, with careful preparation of the records needed to provide clear and useful updates.

The latest figures on our website show the scale of our ongoing work. The October snapshot below updates the quarterly report; the cumulative figures cover the periods shown and are not results attributed to this quarter or to GlobalGiving funding.

GlobalGiving funding this quarter

No new donations were received through GlobalGiving during July to September 2026. There are therefore no new GlobalGiving donations to allocate or report as expenditure for this period. The wider work described in this update is supported through our other fundraising and sponsorship channels.

We mainly use GlobalGiving for U.S. and U.K. supporters who wish to give through a platform that offers tax benefits in their country. U.S. taxpayers can make tax-deductible donations and receive a tax receipt through GlobalGiving; eligible U.K. taxpayers donating in GBP can use Gift Aid. We value having this option available for our international community.

For our other sponsors and donors, we generally recommend donating through the systems on our foundation website. This keeps most donations and sponsorship records together and helps us manage payments and follow-up more efficiently.

Currency conversion is another reason we do not actively promote GlobalGiving to our euro-based supporters. In our experience, euro donations have been converted into U.S. dollars and then back into euros when the funds reach our bank account. These conversions reduce the amount we ultimately receive, in addition to platform fees and any banking or transfer costs. Giving through our website helps us avoid this back-and-forth conversion for euro donations.

Stay connected and help a child continue school

Thank you to everyone who continues to support our children and communities. Please explore our updated website, watch the documentary and share our work with someone who may like to become a sponsor. Every lasting sponsorship helps us plan for a child’s education with greater confidence.
