Build a Bilingual School in Nicaragua

Last week, we welcomed our students back to Escuela Adelante after a well-deserved mid-year break. As we reflect on the past semester, we are deeply grateful for your support, which continues to make a significant difference.

Amidst joyful celebrations and enriching experiences for our students, we've embarked on an essential journey: the construction of two new classrooms. This expansion is vital to accommodate our growing student body, but we urgently need your help to reach our goal.

Your Support Makes Every Achievement Possible

Thanks to your generosity, Escuela Adelante has been bustling with activity, providing invaluable learning and bonding opportunities for our students:

• In honor of Earth Day, our Preschool and Primary students took pride in cleaning and beautifying our green areas. Witnessing their dedication to environmental stewardship was truly inspiring, as they worked together towards the common goal of caring for our school.
  
  
• Students in grades 5 to 7 enjoyed recreational activities while contributing to beach cleanup efforts during a school trip to Playa La Flor, reaffirming our commitment to environmental conservation.
  
  
• On May 30th, we commemorated Nicaraguan Mother's Day. The event saw a full house at Escuela Adelante, and featured performances from all grade levels and engaging contests for our beloved mothers.
  
  
• Further enriching our curriculum, our 3rd and 4th graders explored the colonial city of Granada. The highlight was a hands-on chocolate-making workshop, where they learned about the origins of chocolate, traditional production methods, and created their own chocolate bars. They also explored Granada's historic churches, broadening their cultural understanding.
  
  
• We ended the semester with an exciting Spirit Week, featuring themed days such as pirates, cowboys, and the various professions our students aspire to pursue in the future. 

As we start a new semester at Escuela Adelante, we look forward to fresh beginnings, learning, growth, and achieving new milestones.
