The second term results for our girls in Mfariji Mentorship Club came in last month and they were exciting. Three of our girls topped in their classes and the other two improved by over 30 marks each. What does that mean? The program is definitely working! As we get in 2018 we are excited to have five fully trained girls, equipped with tools and resources on life skills and leadership. These girls will then each train five more girls increasing the mentees from 5 to 25. This program continues to be sustainable on its own by ensuring at any given time we have trained peer mentors training new mentees.
Studies have shown that Mentoring has proven to increase confidence, make youth feel valued and allowed them to believe in their self-worth. Mentors bring hope helping at-risk adolescent girls to look beyond their current situation and imagine a successful future. We believe Investing in Women and Girls is an Investment in the Future of a Nation
Last week, our founder Alice, was interviewed by Kenyan local media station, NTV. She explains candidly, why Sanitary pads & Health education are key to equalizing girls opportunities in school.
Mfariji Africa is making sure that marginalized girls in Kenya receive all the opportunities they deserve, including an education..
Because every girl deserves a bright future are you ready to empower girls by making a donation?
