Education for the Rag Picking Community Children

Asha Deep Foundation identified all the children who are unable to attend the online classes one is due to non availiability of mobile phones and the chidren are mostly from the rag picking community. The teachers were appointed to take class near their houses a center was opened to teach the children in three shifts. The children were given the slot like  10 to 12, 12 to 2 and 2 to 4 pm and proper syllabus is followed in teaching the children.

The children and family as a whole were very happy and they expressed their joy they said we do not have proper food to eat how we can have smart phones, during lock down, no work and aferwards also the work is not the same as it used to be before.

Rani who is just 8 years old is one of the girl who attend the center regularly , not one day she is absent and brings her copies and do all home work and takes care of her belongings. She is so interested to study and her understanding is so good that she immediately understands the lesson and help other children who find it difficult to understand the lesson.

Rani is a semi- orphan girl, she lost her father duing the pandemic situation due to COVID19, she has 4 siblying and large family. Mother is earning a very less amount by segregating the rags and she gets very less amount and she has to take the full responsibility of the family.

Her all the children attend our Educational Center and are benefitted by the Educational Programme,
