Great news! Julie Helping Hands (JHF) Foundation has started renovating Umuolo Community Primary School as initially planned.
We remember the poor condition of the school during our first visit; leaking roofs, broken walls, no sanitary facilities, and classroom furniture. It was disheartening to see how the children got soaked when it rained.
We have begun renovating the school building and are presently at the roofing level as shown in the pictures below. After this, we intend to furnish each classroom with chairs, desks, and white marker boards.
We are working towards completing the structure by September so that pupils can resume the next session in a conducive learning environment. This will make learning more attractive for the pupils while the teachers will also be motivated to teach better.
Our goal is to develop this school to a modern standard. The next phase of renovation will be equipping the school with a computer laboratory, toilets, a library, and solar power.
Thank you for promoting access to quality education for vulnerable children.
We have come this far with your support!
