RSKS India successfully celebrated Children’s Day at its ''Pathshala'' Value Based Education Centers, creating a joyful and empowering environment for 175 teenage girls from five villages. The event was dedicated to celebrating childhood, encouraging self-expression, and fostering confidence through a variety of engaging activities.
A key highlight of the celebration was the entrepreneurship activity, where the girls independently set up food stalls and sold delicious snacks to their peers. This hands-on experience helped them develop business skills, teamwork, financial literacy, and self-confidence while earning profits from their efforts.
The participants also showcased their creativity by designing colorful posters and capturing memorable selfies that reflected their aspirations, talents, and dreams. These activities encouraged artistic expression and strengthened their sense of identity and self-worth.
"I had never sold anything before, but running a food stall with my friends made me feel confident and capable. I was proud to earn money and share my ideas with others," shared Pooja (name changed), 15 years old. The celebration filled the girls with happiness, motivation, and a stronger belief in their abilities. Thank you for helping create opportunities that nurture confidence, leadership, and brighter futures for rural girls.
The day concluded with exciting sports competitions that promoted physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition. The celebration brought smiles, enthusiasm, and lasting memories, while reinforcing the importance of nurturing every girl’s potential and ensuring that childhood remains a time of learning, joy, and opportunity.
