Educar y Crecer will strengthen the education of 500 children from vulnerable contexts in Argentina in its 15 Student Learning Centers. To ensure that no one is left behind, through innovative and effective educational programs EyC will improve the performance of students in the areas of Reading and Writing and Maths; while also providing them with XXI century skills, necessary to achieve inclusion in the modern labor market.
While half of Argentinian children are living under the poverty line,access to education is in decline: only 43% of the students who started 1st grade,arrive 6th grade with satisfactory knowledge maths & language.The quality of education is also problematic:EyC's standardized evaluations confirm that 12%of Group1 students profound learning deficits in reading and writing in March 2022.This project will bring quality educational opportunities to children who live in vulnerable areas in Argentina.
+500 children attend EyC's 15 Student Learning Centers after school hours. They participate in Reading, Writing and Math programs designed by EyC's specialists. Students build their own learning experience through the exploration and resolution of significant cross-cutting problems, while developing 21st century skills including digital literacy, cooperative learning, emotional intelligence and creativity. EyC includes standardized evaluations to objectively monitor student progress.
The project will enhance learning of +500 children from vulnerable areas in Argentina. Improved learning will enhance schooling trajectory, preventing dropouts that result from school promotion without educational achievements. Graduates from EyC's programs will also enhance emotional, social and technological abilities, necessary to develop in the 21 century labor market. Opportunities granted have the potential to allow them to rise from poverty.
