On 4th June 2015, ARV distributed school supplies in Narayanapuram colony, Machilipatnam. All the children are yanadi children. Lowest literacy is found among Yanadis even when compared with other sub-tribes in Andhra Pradesh. As much as 92 % of the Yanadis are uneducated, while 95.5 % of women never went to school in their life. Consequently, 95 % of the children dropout of school by the time they reach 5th class. As many as 200 children are working as rag-pickers and child laborers to eke out their livelihood.
