Foremost on behalf of the children and the First Love Foundation, we wish to express our most sincere gratitude for your kind support for the children of Sangrur, situated in the Punjab State of India. This project sought to facilitate elementary education and a feeding program for destitute children from a slum colony in Sangrur.
As of the previous report, the donations made through GlobalGiving were utilised to facilitate the slum children of various ages for their very first term of school. This was a major achievement as these children of various ages were attending formal school for the first time ever, thankfully because of your kind donations. Their transition to formal school did not go as smoothly as expected as the children were not received well by the other students. It would be more practical for these children to attend formal school in an environment that is more accepting of them. However, this is as much as we could do in this regard.
We wish to inform you our supporters, that this project will be moving to Madhya Pradesh state, specifically to Bhopal and Jabalpur. The state has a special place in my heart, as I spent there about 7 years at university, from the young age of 19 years. In line with this and considering the love with which the people of Madhya Pradesh took care of me as a student, we have agreed as an organisation to transition and focus our support on a couple of projects in that state to provide access to education for destitute boys and girls.
Our New Year wish is to request that you, our partners and other donors like you will continue to support our projects in India as we seek to change the lives and destinies of destitute boys and girls. As we hold hands together, we will be able to give these poor children of India, hope for a brighter future even in their seemingly hopeless situations.
As always, we are deeply grateful for your support!
Thank you and best wishes for a prosperous 2025
