Education Empowerment for Kenya’s Slum Adolescents Report
Hope Through Education Empowerment project has made tremendous progress over the past 3 months, reaching about 4, 000 young people through our mentorship and school program.
We completed our 5-year strategic plan, with an annual budget of about $72,000. It is awaiting its official launch.
We recently registered HKSAI Training Center in Kibera slums, opening skills training opportunities for hundreds of young people in Kibera wo would otherwise never step their foot in a higher-level education institution.
With increased workload, HKSAI has increased its human resource, bringing on board an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, a Communications and Resource Mobilizer to strengthen our resource mobilization, three interns and a Beauty Therapist to train our students.
In partnership with the County Government of Uasin Gishu, HKSAI has convened the International Day of the Girl Child celebrations in Eldoret in October 11th2025. This event will bring together close to two thousand girls to celebrate who they are and what they’re capable of achieving.
