A school for children with no chance for education

Dear Friends,

Every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and follow their dreams. Thanks to your generosity, the children of Brobo, a small village in Côte d’Ivoire, are getting closer to that chance.

For many years, children in Brobo had to study in extremely difficult conditions. Their classroom was little more than a roof made of palm leaves supported by bamboo poles. There were no walls, no proper floor, and no protection from heavy rains. During the rainy season, lessons were often impossible.

For children with disabilities, the challenges were even greater. Without appropriate equipment and educational support, many of them had very limited opportunities to develop their abilities.

Together, we are changing this reality.

Thanks to your donations, we have been able to support the creation of a proper school and a dedicated space for children with disabilities. Now, our priority is to equip this special area with stimulating educational materials and therapeutic tools that will help children develop their skills, improve communication, and become more independent.

These are not just pieces of equipment. They are opportunities for children to discover their potential, participate in everyday activities, and experience the joy of learning.

We have already brought together 88 generous donors, including one monthly donor, and two fundraisers who are helping us make this dream come true.

Every contribution brings us closer to providing children with the care and education they deserve.

We often think about Adele, a little girl from Brobo who used to arrange sticks in front of her hut, pretending they were pupils in her classroom. Her greatest dream was to become a teacher. Thanks to people like you, dreams like hers have a better chance of becoming reality.

Education is about much more than reading and writing. It gives children confidence, independence, and the possibility of building a future different from the one they were born into.

Thank you for being part of this change. Your kindness means that the children of Brobo are not forgotten. It means hope, dignity, and new possibilities for those who need them most.

Thank You for your great help for children in Brobo!

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your help! Thanks to you the children can dream again.

Children in Brobo grow up in very difficult conditions. Without a safe and proper school building, their education is poor and irregular. For children with disabilities, the situation is even more difficult. Without proper support and stimulating equipment, they have fewer opportunities to develop their skills, build independence, and take part in education with dignity.

Without access to good education, children in Brobo have very limited chances to change their future and break the cycle of poverty.

Solution

The new school in Brobo completely changes this situation. A solid brick building will provide children with a safe, clean, and dignified place to learn. Classrooms equipped with desks and blackboards will make education more comfortable and effective.

The special space for children with disabilities will be an important part of this project. With the right equipment, these children will receive better support in their development. Stimulating materials, educational aids, and therapeutic tools will help them learn, communicate, move, and grow according to their individual needs.

Long-Term Impact

Education can transform the lives of children in Brobo. It will help them gain knowledge, understand the world better, and build a future beyond poverty.

For children the new school means a real chance to follow their dreams and for children with disabilities, the project means greater inclusion, better development, and the possibility to learn in an environment that respects their dignity.

In the long term, the school will help shape the minds and hearts of the children of Brobo. It will give them tools to grow, to become independent, and to contribute to their community. Education will open the door to a better future — one in which children are not trapped by poverty, but strengthened by knowledge, care, and hope.

School changes the landscape

Dear Friend!

Adele gathers sticks in front of her hut and arranges them in rows, imagining a classroom. She dreams of becoming a teacher, but she does not attend school—because there is no proper school in the village of Brobo.

Brobo is the birthplace of Prof. Vincent Asse, a pediatric specialist who has been deeply committed to improving the lives of children in his home village. Before the rainy season began, efforts were made to build a real school, including a dedicated complex for children with disabilities. Thanks to the generosity of donors, the construction phase was made possible.

Today, the school stands as a symbol of hope. However, to fully serve all children—especially those with disabilities—we now need funding for specialized educational and sensory-stimulating equipment that will help children develop their cognitive, motor, and social skills.

The construction of a solid brick school building has transformed the educational landscape of Brobo. The new school provides:

To complete this vision of inclusive education, the project now focuses on acquiring specialized educational and therapeutic equipment. These tools are essential to stimulate development, support learning, and ensure that children with disabilities can fully participate in school life.

Long-Term Impact

Access to education empowers children in Brobo to understand the world, develop their talents, and shape their own futures. It offers them a real opportunity to break free from poverty and dependency.

With inclusive education, children with disabilities will no longer be marginalized but supported to reach their potential with dignity. Dreams that once seemed impossible—like Adele’s dream of becoming a teacher—can now become attainable.

Education does more than teach reading and writing; it builds confidence, shapes values, and restores dignity. Through this project, children in Brobo are given not only knowledge, but hope for a better, more just future.
