In the socio-economic dynamics of Mexico City, various economic activities are carried out in public spaces, including informal work. This reality involves entire families, including children and adolescents (children and adolescents), who actively participate in such activities in public spaces.
This participation has significant implications, such as exposure to multifactorial risks: violence, discrimination and conditions that negatively impact their health and integral development, thus violating the exercise of their rights, including the right to education.
Through its educational work, it continues to implement strategic actions that promote the comprehensive development of these children and adolescents, prioritising the exercise of their rights, such as psycho-educational intervention in the implementation of educational sessions aimed at the development of logical-mathematical thinking and the promotion of reading habits, with the purpose of enabling them to continue with their school career and the exercise of their right to education, as well as the gradual reduction of their labour participation in the public space.
In the long term, these actions seek to develop skills and tools in children and adolescents that allow them to build alternatives for a dignified life.
We are deeply grateful for ednica's continuous support and accompaniment in its daily work with children and adolescents.
