Learning Made Fun
Watching our young boys explore and learn with magnet blocks is pure joy. They discovered angles, patterns, cause-and-effect relationships, and more. Learning doesn't have to be a burden - it can be fun and activity-based. Our students may learn differently, but they're incredible learners and amazing individuals.
Cooking Day Fun
Our students rocked their cooking class, teaming up to whip up delicious sandwiches.
At Rising Sun, we believe in empowering independence through Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Kudos to our boys for mastering house chores.
A Day of Joy – Monthly Stipend for Our Special Children
This day brings the greatest joy to our special children, as they receive their monthly stipend. At Rising Sun, once a child attains a certain level of skill, they begin to receive a regular stipend, which continues to increase each year. Many of our children have now reached the point where they are able to contribute to supporting their families financially.
Although they may not acquire complete mastery over a craft according to conventional standards, under the assembly-line model they actively participate in producing specific handicrafts. It is this hard work that grants them dignity and self-confidence.
It is our collective effort that one day the world will recognize their unique talents and they will be provided with regular employment opportunities in the open market. These moments are so profoundly joyous for our Rising Sun family that words cannot fully describe them. When these children receive their monthly stipends with their own signatures, our hearts are filled with pride and happiness.
God willing, the day is not far when these children, like their peers, will work in institutions and receive salaries for their efforts.
Art and Craft training
We have integrated art and craft training into our academic program, recognizing its wide-ranging benefits for our students. These skills not only empower them by enabling the acquisition of new crafts but also contribute to the development of fine motor abilities, hand–eye coordination, and enhanced creativity. Engaging in artistic activities further strengthens problem-solving skills, supports behavioral regulation, and promotes greater compliance. Most importantly, it prepares our students for practical life by equipping them with both functional skills and a sense of independence.
