Summary

This project will provide education and essential medical support to 50 women and girls who have survived sexual violence and exploitation and are receiving protection and rehabilitation at Raksha Nepal Safe Home in Kathmandu. Your support will help cover education expenses, learning materials, medical check-ups, medicines, and treatment, helping survivors continue learning, maintain their health, rebuild confidence, and move toward a safer and more independent future.

Challenge

Survivors of sexual violence and exploitation often face lasting challenges even after reaching safety. Many struggle with interrupted education, unmet healthcare needs, emotional distress, and financial hardship. Without continued support, these barriers can prevent survivors from recovering, completing their education, developing independence, and rebuilding their lives with dignity.

Solution

This project will provide survivors with practical support to overcome the barriers they face after reaching safety. It will help them continue their education by covering essential educational costs and access necessary healthcare, medicines, and psychosocial support. By meeting these immediate needs, the project will help survivors regain confidence, continue their personal development, and move toward greater independence and a safer, more dignified future.

Long-Term Impact

The project will help survivors rebuild their lives with greater confidence, stability, and independence. Continued access to education, healthcare, and psychosocial support can improve their well-being, strengthen their future opportunities, and reduce their vulnerability to poverty, dependency, and further exploitation. Ultimately, the project will contribute to safer, healthier, and more dignified futures for survivors.
