Promising Year 2015

By Andrew Martin Niwagaba | Executive Director

Yes, 2015 is a promising year and it has began on a  high! I could never have asked for anything better after a long hard year 2014. 2014 was one of the toughest years in the history of Ngoma Aid Foundation. We had to move to a new home after so many years of not moving, could hardly put food on the table for the children on some occasions, accumulated a big outstanding school fees balance and we were constantly in debt for most of the year to the point that we carried some of the debts forward to 2015. It is the same 2014 that we did not get a single disbursement from Global Giving Foundation. Yes it was a tough year.

The past is certainly behind us now and we are hoping that 2015 will be a much better year with your support. We are begining to settle in our new home although much more needs to be done so as to have it to the level that we want. The children have all reported back to their respective schools. I am happy to report that Krishna, Gladys, James and Anita excelled in the 2014 Primary Leaving Examinations and have now joined boarding school for their secondary education. Anifa has completed her Teacher training and has gotten temporary placement in one of the local Primary Schools. The other children were promoted to the next class apart from AnnaMary given that she is still adjusting and having to fit into the urban setting having spent most of her time in a rural area. The standards do not match in almost every aspect of life but we are hopeful that she will excel this year.

Despite the promising start. we still have challenges with maintaining the children, providing for their basic needs, scholarstic materials, medical, food and school dues. We still have an outstanding fees balance from last year and yet what is most important is that we have to fight and soldier on. Yes we have challenges BUT the signs are clear, 2015 will certainly be a good year for us and YES it will be good with your continued support. Thank you for the support and my prayer is that you keep the support coming to us because this Project means alot to us as an organisation and is very important to the beneficiaries future.

Thank You always
