Greetings to all our donors, friends and well wishers. I hope this report finds you well. I am happy to inform you that we are into the second week of the final school term of the year 2023. The children had a peaceful holiday break and it is amazing that we are optimistically looking forward to the end of the school year in a few weeks ahead. The children; Gladys, Believe, Trevor, Evas, Bright, AnnaMary and Tracy reported to school on the first day of the term and are settling in their respective school activities.
Our biggest challenge of 2023 so far has been lack of school fees. We as of today, have an outstanding school fees bill of USD 1500 to the end of 2023 that stretches all the way from 2022. We have struggled to raise fees and meet other urgent and demanding requirements like food and shelter. Food and shelter are top priority much as school fees is equally important. It is however worth noting that the two school administrations where the children attend school continue to be patient with us as we try to raise the required school fees.
There is absolutely no doubt that these children need our continued support to live, survive and attend school. This is something we can achieve together. It is thus my humble request that you our dear donors, friends and well wishers extend more support to this project as we continue to provide a livelihood and shape these vulnerable children's future. Together we will.
